Our dispensary
Both Harptree and Cameley surgeries have an on-site dispensary where patients can collect medications.
National rules around dispensing services mean that any patient who lives within 1.5 miles of a Pharmacy are not able to have their medications dispensed at the surgery. Instead, these patients will need to collect a green prescription from the dispensary and take to a pharmacy of their choice to have dispensed there.
To find out where your nearest pharmacy is and see whether you’re eligible to have your prescriptions dispensed at the surgery, please use this link, Find a pharmacy – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
Our dispensaries are open 8.30am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
Our dispensary phone line is open between the hours of 12pm-1pm and 4.30pm-5.30pm Monday to Friday should you have a prescription request or a query for our team. Please call 01761 221406 and select dispensary to be transferred. Please also find the dispensary email address should you wish to make contact directly: bswicb.harptreesurgeryprescriptions@nhs.net
When our dispensary is closed
If you have run out of one of your repeat medications, you can use the 111 prescription service if you need your medication urgently when the surgery is closed.
If you need an acute medication such as pain killers or antibiotics that you are not normally prescribed on repeat, you will need to call 111 or use 111 online to discuss your needs with their triage team.
If you need to visit a pharmacy when we are closed, you can use the NHS find-a-pharmacy page to check where your nearest open pharmacy is.
Delivery service
We offer a delivery service to ensure housebound patients can get their medication delivered to their door. Please speak with our dispensary team for further information.
