Our Doctors
Dr Jim Robinson (Male)
LLB (hons) MBBS MRCGP
Dr Robinson qualified as a GP in 2017, having trained in Newcastle as a medical student, and then completing his junior doctor and GP training in Bristol. He has worked at Harptree and Cameley Surgeries since 2017, and completed his training there also. Dr Robinson is a GP trainer, does joint injections and some minor surgery, and has special interest in diabetes, sport and fitness, and in lifestyle medicine.
Dr Charlotte Kenyon (Female)
BSc MBChB MRCGP
Dr Kenyon trained at Bristol Medical School and completed her junior doctor training in Bristol and the South West, before qualifying as a GP in 2014. Dr Kenyon arrived at Harptree and Cameley Surgeries in 2013 where she completed her GP registrar years. She has since become a GP trainer which she thoroughly enjoys.
Dr Kenyon lives in Bristol with her husband and 3 small children. Her interests include Nutritional Therapy and she has also studied with the Institute for Optimum Nutrition based in London.
Dr Hannah Roy (Female)
Dr Roy joined Harptree Surgery in 2023 after relocating from Devon. She trained at Southampton medical school before moving to Exeter to work as a junior doctor. She became a qualified GP in 2013 and worked as a GP partner there for 8 years before moving to the Chew valley with her husband and two children.
Dr Jennifer Doughty (Female)
MBChB MRCGP
Dr Doughty trained in Bristol Medical School and completed her Junior Doctor and GP training in Bath and the South West. She joined Harptree and Cameley Surgeries as a Salaried GP in 2022.
Dr Duncan Kent (Male)
MBChB (Bristol) MRCGP
Dr Kent has been part of the team as a salaried GP since 2018. He works and lives in the Chew Valley and enjoys being part of the community. Duncan lives with his wife and 2 young boys who keep him on his toes. When Dr Kent is not working, he enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Harptree. This being the art of folding clothes with people still in them.
Dr Toby Sinclair (Male)
I am thrilled to have joined Harptree and Cameley Surgeries as a salaried GP in May. Over the last 18 months of my GP training, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the beautiful Chew Valley and its residents. I look forward to staying on with the excellent team here, and continuing to work with such a welcoming community!
Dr Charlotte Sole (Female)
Hello! I am pleased to have joined the Harptree and Cameley Surgeries team as a salaried GP. Having studied in Cambridge, I then worked in London & Australia before completing my GP training in the Bristol area. I recently moved to Chew Valley and am looking forward to working within my local community. Outside of work I enjoy keeping fit by any means including walking, running, cycling, tennis and crossfit. I enjoy being out in the countryside and gardening. I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming months and years.
Healthcare Team
Community Midwife
The community midwives are responsible for antenatal and early post natal care. They also run parentcraft classes at Keynsham Health Centre. The midwives work in close co-operation with other members of the Primary Care Team.

Health Visitor
These are nurses who have undertaken further training. They are particularly concerned with expectant and new mothers, young children and the elderly. They call regularly and messages may be left for them at reception.
Social Prescriber/Care Coordinator
Lisa is our Social Prescriber/Care Coordinator and joined the surgery in February 2024. Lisa previously worked as a Social Prescriber in North Somerset and throughout her working life, has always worked in roles supporting people. Lisa’s role is split between Social Prescriber and Care coordinator. She support patients with social or non-clinical needs such as emotional/mental health support, linking patients to community groups, housing, benefits, financial issues, social isolation and signposting to care and carers support.
Lisa thoroughly enjoys her role, as she enjoys meeting people and supporting people to overcome their difficulties. Her links to the Community are especially important and she has already made some valuable connections and is always happy to work with others to gain the best outcomes for our patients.
Outside of work Lisa enjoys being outside and can often be found camping, watching her sons play football and paddleboarding with her dogs Rio and Dave on board!

Practice Team
Practice Manager
Our Practice Manager is Mel Martin. She is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running and management of the Harptree and Cameley Surgeries. If you wish to discuss any aspect of the Practice, Mel can be contacted via the main Harptree Surgery number.
Receptionists
All our receptionists are here to help you with making appointments, general enquiries, taking messages and giving pathology results.
Dispensers
We have fully trained dispensers who dispense medication for our patients under the supervision of the doctors.
Clinical Pharmacist
Isabel Castane-AlvarezIsabel graduated from Salamanca University (Spain) in 2003. She did her post graduate training at University Hospital of Oviedo, Asturias (Spain) but then moved to England and went to work in a community pharmacy for 20 years where she focused on hypertension and lipid disorders management. Isabel gained her clinical pharmacy practice and Independent Prescriber qualifications in 2022.
She is passionate about deprescribing, integrative and lifestyle medicine and pain management.
Isabel enjoys any kind of sport, photography and getting together in Spain with her big family and friends. Music and books are essential to Isabel’s life.
Pharmacy Technician
Sophie Thornton
Sophie is our newly qualified Pharmacy Technician who works alongside our Clinical Pharmacist to support patients with their medication and assist with any medication related queries.
She thoroughly enjoys interacting with patients and making a difference.
Nursing Team
District Nurses
Patients who are confined to their homes and need nursing care may arrange with their doctor for a district nurse to visit. The hospital will normally arrange for a district nurse to visit patients discharged from hospital who still need nursing care. The district nurses call at the surgery every day and messages may be left for them at reception.
We have two practice nurses who deal with all aspects of treatment room work. The practice nurses hold surgeries by appointment and you may see them without seeing the doctor.

We have three Health Care Assistants who hold surgeries by appointment, who can be seen without referral from the doctor for the following:
