New Patients
Harptree and Cameley surgeries welcome new patients who live within our practice boundary.
We can also see patients who are visiting the area for a short period of time as a ‘temporary resident’, including patients from overseas. Please speak to our reception team if you need to be seen as a temporary patient, without changing your registered GP.
Everyone in the UK has the right to free care from a GP. If you don’t have proof of ID or address, you can still register. Immigration status or nationality don’t matter – reception won’t ask for immigration documents and won’t share your information with the Home Office unless serious crime is involved.
Proxy Access
Accessing someone else's information
As a parent, family member or carer, you may be able to access services for someone else. We call this having proxy access.
We can set this up for you if you are both registered with us.
To request proxy access, please collect a proxy access form from reception.
Linked profiles in your NHS Account
Once proxy access is set up, you can access the other person’s profile in your NHS account, using the NHS App or website.
The NHS website has information about using linked profiles to access services for someone else.
